Important: Always use the recovery points as a matched pair with an equalising bridle. Using a single recovery point with a side load or pull may damage the points and void your warranty.

Installation Tips

  • Professional Fitting Recommended: For optimal results, we recommend fitting the recovery points with the help of a qualified mechanic who has expertise in 4WD vehicles. This ensures proper installation based on your vehicle’s weight distribution, Bull Bar style, and usage.

  • Chassis Compatibility: These recovery points are designed for vehicles without bull bars. If your vehicle has a bull bar, modifications may be needed, such as adjusting the bull bar bracket or using longer bolts.

Bull Bar Compatibility

For vehicles with bull bars, the mounting bolts may interfere with the required chassis holes for the recovery points. While most issues can be resolved, some situations may require significant modifications.

We maintain a list of compatible bull bars, available [here]. If additional hardware, like longer bolts, is needed, they can be purchased locally. Due to the variety of bull bar combinations, we cannot include every possible bolt in the kit.

Ensure that grade 8.8 or higher bolts are used and tightened to the correct torque specifications.

Performance and Use

  • Straight-Line Pulls: These recovery points are designed for straight-line recoveries and are tested to handle the forces involved.

  • Not for Lifting: These recovery points are not intended for lifting purposes. Lifting requires different forces that could compromise the integrity of the recovery points.

Important Notes

  • Warranty: The warranty covers defects in the recovery points. However, improper installation, misuse, or incorrect selection can void the warranty.

  • Chassis Suitability: The chassis must be designed to handle the recovery forces. The recovery points themselves are tested for strength, but it is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure the chassis can accommodate them safely.
