The ProVent Ultimate Catch Can kitย PV639DPKย protects the diesel engine by substantially reducing the amount of oil entering the engine from blow-by gas in the crankcase ventilation system.
The problem is compounded by modern engines fitted withย exhaust gas recirculation systems (EGR)ย whereby a proportion of the exhaust gas is routed back into the engine. With the presence of oil from the crankcase ventilation system, theย exhaust particlesย are collected by the oil. This combination of oil and exhaust particles from the EGRย build upย to a point where itย blocks inlet manifoldsย and valves, resulting inย reduced engine performance and/or failure.
Direction-Plus ProVent Ultimate Catch Can system separates and redirects oil and air from blow-by gas produced from within the crankcase, which also provides the option of returning the oil back to the sump. Rated Recovery Points are designed for vehicles without Bull Bars. If a Bull Bar is installed, its mounting bolts/brackets may interfere with fitment. In many cases, a workaround exists, but some modifications might be necessary.
